Product Information Regarding COVID-19

SARS-CoV-2; the virus attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic is an enveloped virus. In most cases, while such viruses are easily transmitted, enveloped viruses can be more easily deactivated compared to other more robust viruses, like non-enveloped viruses (e.g. Poliovirus type 1, etc.).

Germiphene’s lineup of products has a wide variety of hard surface disinfectants that have demonstrated efficacy against both enveloped (non-robust but easily transmissible viruses) and non-enveloped viruses (more robust viruses that are usually harder to transmit than enveloped viruses).

The products in the table below have all been reviewed by Health Canada and have been tested against several viruses.

Based on this information, these products are expected to be effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
